Observatory
The Westminster Astronomical Society is asking for your support in our quest to build an astronomical observatory housing one of the largest telescopes in the State of Maryland to be available for public viewing, here in Carroll County. With your support our dream of providing Astronomy and Space Education to the young people of the area can be realized. To do this we need your help. We are asking for your pledge of either money, time, or material, to make this dream happen for the kids of Carroll County. An observatory of this quality will provide a unique alternative night life. This facility will inspire the imaginations of the youngsters, help preserve; the beauty of the night sky and educate the general public in the wonders of astronomy and the space sciences. We are asking for a pledge of $1000, or time or material in kind. If that amount is not within your financial abilities we offer other levels of support.
